Family is defined as comment and love to one or more individuals. It means showing up when they need you the most, having each other's backs and choosing to love each other even on those days when you're struggling to like each other. It's not defined only by last names and shared blood but of the connections, you build in your life.
These infamous characters of our childhood are no different from the people you meet in your daily life. You can choose to love and support them or you can choose to leave there story where you believe it began and ended in the fairytale section of history or you can dig deeper into there life to realize what you have been led to believe it's what the adults want you to believe.
The suppose monsters under our bed can be a bit scary but if you look closer you may notice that not everything is like you where lead to believe. If you don't want to learn more then your probably an adult and already have figured out how it ends, if not then let's begin the process of learning what family means.

Nobody wanted her
It's just as it says nobody wanted her. She didn't know why and thought maybe she never would. Maybe it was because she was different that she didn't look like anyone else. That she looked too much like them yet the others were afraid of her in the beginning. That she was different from them as well. She looked like an avatar like the blue people with her blue skin but she had purple hair and red eyes all natural. The only person that didn't fear her he took her in and made her apart of his family. He was already raising two other children on his own and no one was gonna be left behind. The only difference is, is that her secret is that she's part dragon. Her sister is supposed to slay anything mystical creature especially dragons but she doesn't know her secret or her best friend's. At least not yet or him hers and you know what's funny? He's got a huge crush on her. She's also adopted so that's why she's a dragon too. Although not American. She wasn't born American anyways. They don't exactly know each other's secret as of right now and so she have no one to help her. Looks like she's on her own she never belonged with humans anyways. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. (Unedited) "You weren't here! You haven't been in a long time so stop trying to act like you were." Willow grew up in a house with six brothers, one of them being her twin. She's grown up in a two bedroom apartment with an alcoholic mother who never managed to pay the bills on time or even buy food, so the eldest two brother's always took the responsibility, and once they left it was passed on to the next brother. But eventually all her big brother's had left without looking back and it was just her, her twin Wes and their mother whenever she was around. They got along just fine for the next two years, they somehow managed to get through the tough times together and they thought it would stay that way, the two of them against the world. Until their mother got pregnant and they had the responsibility of raising their baby sister at the age of 11. They pulled through and it was now the three of them against the world. They believe they can get through anything and they hope that's true when suddenly the brothers who disappeared years ago start to show up looking to mend their relationship with the twins who hold a deep hatred for their older brothers. Can they fix the broken relationship with the twins and build a new one with their new baby sister? Or is it too late? --- It's better than it sounds.
