Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. Me Working Through It
Just a bunch of poems I write to help get through life. You can see my journey through anxiety, friendships, relationships, sexuality confusion, family nonsense and depression. You might relate. I love comments (including grammar corrections). I do not own the artwork, I give credit to the artist when I can find it. I do own the poems so please give me credit and all that stuff. I do doubt anyone would be using my poetry for anything but anyway. I have a new book titled 'You.' which you'll be able to find in my account. Dandelions In The Wind
There are a lot of reasons why people write. For me it has always been like an addiction, a reporting on the world and therapy. People are my greatest inspiration and God created so many variants and flavours that we would always have something to write about or to say. I'm not known for being quiet; I fight for what I believe in and I stand my ground on what I believe to be true and just. But people like me can never do this alone, we need an audience to listen, a support network to carry us, a cause to fight for and somebody to come home to because we cry alone, at home behind closed doors. For my people that has always been a constant in my life and my inspiration like my husband and children, Uncle Louis and Aunt Delphine, Johan Erasmus that gave me my first encouragement and my clients that follow where I lead, forgive me when I faltered and still love me for who I am for those who trust me with their precious copyright, please know that I am grateful and for whom I pray every night. When I get on my knees and thank God for another day it is all of you that I am so incredibly thankful for, my life would be meaningless without you. Some of these poems eventually became songs and you can hear them on my albums and on numerous other artist's albums. With sincere gratitude to my publisher, editor and loved ones. Being me is exhausting and my guardian angels are on a well-deserved holiday at the moment. Thoughts of a Juvenile
Words are sharper than knife they say. Yes it is true. Some perfectly moulded good words can both make and break a heart easily. A poem is a group of such perfectly moulded words given wings to fly. They fly through the mind and heart easily. A hobby is an activity we do to express ourselves, our beliefs and our thinking. For example through drawing, dancing, singing, etcetera. Writing a poem is one of such hobbies. Here words are used. These words and messages are far more twisted. A poem hits the mind, a good poem hits the heart. Thoughts Of A Juvenile is just a collection of my poems.I started writing poems when I was 8. I may not be a great writer. But yeah I write to express. There have been times for me like many other teenagers where I thought I was lost and helpless. There have been good times too. I'm standing on the edge of teenage now, telling you that you can survive this. You can survive everything. All you need is to find your strengths. There are sad nights and then there are mornings full of opportunities. Don't give up. I'm here and I'll always be here. Whenever you feel down just remind yourself "Be stupid". Go out in public and the eat the food you like alone, ask out your crush, flirt like there's no one watching, dance like a ghost has possessed your body, prank people, have a little chat with the nerds you know. Surviving is an art not many can master. Be a Master. There are mistakes in this book and I tried my best to correct them. But couldn't correct them all.
