For nine years, Domino has been living in solitary confinement within the Goldenrod City prison. With no release to look forward to, the Black Tulip spends her days reflecting on her life and the choices she made, while reminiscing about the old days with former members of Team Rocket.

One night, after a spar with an inmate, she hears an unfamiliar voice, belonging to a mysterious youth by the name of Zero, speak to her from within her cell. With the promise of escape and the start of a new life, Agent 009 jumps at the chance, only to find out that she's getting far more than she bargained for.

Graced with a new shot at life, Domino must weave through the concrete jungles of Unova, and adjust to becoming a Trainer, all while fighting off an evil organization bent on world domination.

All Domino wanted was to be free...

But it seems as though her new life has other plans.
