Hey. My name is Desiree Sylvakia. I go to South Morton High School in a city named Arameth. I am a senior and I'm 17 years old and my birthday is November 21st, 3001.
Today is Wednesday, November 18th, 3019. Four days before my eighteenth birthday.
Where I live, everyone develops two tattoos. One that matches your souls mate, and one that matches your worst enemy.

Ink and Ashes

Gifts and soulmates were common currency in Donumdell. From a very young age, that was all its citizens were instilled with. And each and every one of them knew that at some point in their lives, especially between the ages of twelve and twenty-five, they were bound to receive both marks on their wrist. One, in a black tone, denoted the type of gift they had been given at birth. And the second one, in a white tone, dictated that whoever shared that same mark was bound to be their soulmate and with whom they would spend the rest of their lives. But what happens when someone does not receive any kind of mark? How does a society ruled and ranked by those marks react when faced with the presence of someone like that? The day of everyone's lives where they're supposed to have had their tattoo already. Now, 5 years after the disappointment of not receiving one, Louis has completely given up on ever finding someone. He's given up on ever getting a tattoo, on ever finding a soul mate, and on ever being loved. Until he meets Kealleigh a month after her 18th birthday. (This is a short story. Please do not directly steal my ideas, like the tattoos for example because I made them up entirely on my own. This short story is a complete work of fiction inspired by some other soulmate stories that I've read over time. My Soulmate (HoO/PJO AU)
When you turn 14, you get a tattoo that describes your soulmate. As you spend more time with them, it gets more detailed. But when you kiss your soulmate for the first time, you tattoo glows and shows their name. But this only happens when it is love and love only. (So if you just kiss someone to kiss them then your tattoo won't glow) As for your soulmate dying, your tattoo turns black and shows a small picture of them with their name under. After three days it goes away and you never get another tattoo. Disclaimer: I do not own the PJO or HoO characters. I wish I did though, but sadly that title belongs to Uncle Rick.
