Kidnappings and people going missing were situations that felt so far away from Miles. It felt like things that only happened in movies or in another more messed up world. It felt too beyond reach that the possibility that someone so close to him could just disappear was minuscule. But as unlikely and otherworldly it may have seemed to Miles, it happened. Axel was gone.

4 years ago Miles' neighbour went missing. The abduction shocked the town and Miles never thought he would ever see his neighbour again. But one day, there he is. The missing boy, gone for 4 years, is back. And he's sitting on the front door step across the road from Miles' home, smoking a cigarette.

Reap the Earth at Which you Stand [boyxboy] by FKNichols17
55 parts Complete Mature
Growing up in chaos isn't simple for all. Not many could cope. They would struggle and kick, but ultimately drown. However, for Dakota, that was his normality. Torturing. Maiming. Killing. That was his life, the life of a hunter. The Arizona line was elusive, written fame in the lore of hunters, and infamy for their prey. They were the best. No one could ever compare to their skills, their abilities, their ruthlessness. But Dakota was something else. His siblings might have learnt to enjoy the hunt, well most of them anyway, but Dakota didn't. There was always something missing for him, something he was waiting on. Silent and everlasting hope. A promise had been made to him, the day his twin brother was stolen, taken by the enemy, plucked right from the very home the Arizonas had grown up in. A promise of something better, something that he might actually want in his life. Now, almost sixteen years later, something was coming. A change was begging to be found. Maybe it would be for the best. Maybe Dakota would finally find that certain something that had been missing his whole life, something to fill the dark and fractured abyss that ached and wailed within. But nothing was ever that simple. Because, of course, the promise that had been made to Dakota would never be anything plausible for him, anything tangible to have and to hold. He had been promised a new life, by the greatest enemy of them all. It wouldn't be easy. Not with his family still clinging to his heels, the teachings of blood and violence burnt into his mind. No, leaving them behind wouldn't ever be easy. Then again, staying with them would only bring his inevitable death. Why not take the chance to die happy? After all, out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise...
Loud Silence (BoyxBoy) by Wth_is_happeningg
47 parts Ongoing Mature
Miles is nervous and quiet. He graduated early to escape the bullying and chaos of high school, but adulthood hasn't offered the escape he had hoped for. Isolated and adrift, he struggles with panic attacks, loneliness, and memories that refuse to stay buried. His world shifts when he meets Atticus. Confident, kind, and impossible to ignore. Miles quickly begins to crave the connection he never thought he deserved. As their relationship deepens, so does Miles's hope that maybe someone could love him enough to help him heal, but the past has a way of catching up. Because love, as beautiful as it is, doesn't always drown out the noise, and silence can be louder than anyone realizes. Set against a backdrop of late-night parties, quiet heartbreaks, and moments of painful honesty, Loud Silence is a slow-burning, coming-of-age story about identity, survival, and the terrifying hope of letting someone in. This is the first long-form story I've ever written. I would love feedback as long as it's respectful. This story has been swirling around my head for years, and I'm excited to finally fight against my own anxiety and put it out into the world. ⚠️ Trigger & Content Warning ⚠️ Loud Silence contains boy x boy romance and deals with heavy mental health themes, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse (emotional, physical, and sexual), sexual identity struggles, and death. I do everything I can to portray these themes honestly and respectfully. Reader discretion is strongly advised. Best rankings: #1 in mental health #6 in gay #12 in gaylovers #17 in boyxboyromance #30 in gaypride #26 in anxietyattacks #76 in homosexual

"No one can hold the moon, Sharma." "They can, they just have to stop assuming it'll break." *** Amit was a storm; reckless, magnetic, impossible to forget. He filled every part of Dev's life. And then he vanished. No warning. No goodbye. Just silence. And Dev, left alone in the ruins. Now at a new school, Dev is trying to disappear. But secrets don't stay buried, and memories don't play fair, especially when the past still feels like a wound that never closed. But Dev's new classmate is Raj: smug, unbothered, and entirely too close. With teasing grins and a habit of pushing past Dev's walls, he's everything Dev doesn't want-and exactly what he might need. Dev isn't ready to be seen. But Raj won't look away. And when old wounds resurface and new feelings threaten to break him open, Dev has to ask himself the question he's been avoiding all along: Does being broken really mean you're beyond repair?
