Sometimes, it's not always better to be safe than sorry...
Mercy Falle thought she was safe; she had a something-more-than-friends relationship with local heartthrob Cain Esser, a foster family who protected her. No, her life wasn't perfect, but she could cope. Of course, that's before two men come along and try to kill her.
With everybody believing that Cain was responsible for the attack, Mercy is relocated to begin again somewhere new. But danger still follows her wherever she goes, and the only person who claims he can protect her is the one person she should be running from.
