Charlotte did in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, she is actually the missing Princess MacKenna of Knightshore, just with a new face. After her mother went from kindly Queen to a cruel and fearsome dictator, Charlotte left the palace, changed her name, and set out for Regalia, the only kingdom known to man where social status and wealth did not matter, and there was no ruler. Her companion, a girl named Divine, is heading that way with her, keeping them out of the public eye with the power of Disguise. Secretive and mysterious, she avoids telling Char of her past, for fear of the skeletons hiding in her closet. As the two stumble upon a band of thieves, narrowly avoid being mauled by an enchantress's wolves, and escape the clutches of the Queen of Knightshore, they realize they might not be just friends on the run... but maybe even more...

However, the novel she read is not the reality she believed. ______ I tried on another, a red one this time. I twirl in its large skirt. "This one matches your eyes," I say as I spin. "This one too." I stop, putting my hands on my hips. "Are you going to order all of them?" "If I want to, yes, I will." He doesn't budge. I sigh, sitting next to him. "You know that you don't have to do this. I can go buy my own dresses." "I know, but I want to see you wear dresses that I chose. Besides, is it so wrong to want to spend time with you?" ______ Note: This is entirely my work. I want to see if I'm able to write something without a plot set up for me. I hope you like it!
