Après les modifiés, les extra-terrestres, voilà que les magiciens existent aussi et ils apportent avec eux la connaissance du multivers. Encore inquiet des conséquences de la Guerre Civile qui a dissout tous les Avengers, Tony Stark construit pour parer aux nouveaux dangers que ces sorciers pourraient leur amener. Construire une nouvelle machine, oui. Mais passer d'un univers à l'autre n'est peut-être pas si anodin. Alors que la technologie s'embale, Tony est projeté dans un monde parallèle. Seuls les sorciers peuvent lui venir en aide. Stephen Strange, maître des arts mystiques, se retrouve alors lui aussi propulsé dans ce nouvel univers qui possède ses propres règles et sa propre histoire. Comment parviendront-ils à rentrer ?
