They moved to England in 1953 after their father became an alcoholic. Before Mary Poppins looked after Jane and Michael, she looked after Kaia.
That is how Kaia, Jane and Michael became best friends. Then, she came back.

Very few know how to fight it, to get rid of it and make sure it can't consume the rest of us. And yet we barely know the dangers. You could never know the sacrifices. You could never imagine the blood spilled. So many gave so much. And we never even knew them. So if it takes people to fight the dark, who are they? Where are they? Why is it, that when you look out your window at night, electric street lights gleam their white artificial glow? What happened to the gas lamps, and where did their lighters go?
