Blood Countess

Liza is a University student majoring in history and writing her thesis on Erzsébet Báthory, a Hungarian serial killer from the 1600's who she believes was wrongly accused and framed by the patriarchal Government to steal her wealth and power.

During spring break she travels to Budapest to the National Museum archives where a very helpful historian gives her access to secret documents including the diary of the Countess found with her corpse when she died, bricked up, within her private rooms at Čachtice Castle.

Obsessed with the story of the Bloody Countess and wanting to make the most of her time abroad, Liza will do just about anything to untangle the web of information and rumours so twisted around this infamous Hungarian noble to prove her theory. At almost any cost.
