Magic is a wonderful thing. But like every story, there's two sides to it.

In their sixth year at Hogwarts, Hermione Granger and her friends Harry Potter and Ron Weasley are deep in the fight against The Dark Lord, trying to crack the code on his immortality. Hermione is totally committed to helping Ron and Harry defeat him. Just one small thing is distracting her.

Draco Malfoy is in with the Death Eaters. Both of his parents are Death Eaters, and to deny the Dark Mark being stamped on his arm would be suicide.

But one night, Draco saves Hermione from several weeks worth of detention. Why? Why is he suddenly so interested in this mudblood girl who threatens everything he's ever known?
