God has disappeared and archangel Gabriel and his outcast angels have started a war with humanity in hopes of bringing him back. Scarlett and her mother have left for Amsterdam, the city in which they could be safe. Or so Scarlett thinks. Along the way something horrific happens that makes Scarlett hate the angels more than ever. In Amsterdam she meets Michael, the handsome archangel who is fighting along side the humans against his brother Gabriel and his outcasts. Michael doesn't want to get close to Scarlett because of a dark secret, but his love for her is too strong. He knows he's making a mistake but he hopes that this time it would be different. How can they be together when the world around them is collapsing and Gabriel is getting closer each day in winning the war and bringing extinction to humanity? And a realization that will change Scarlett's life for eternity...or end it.
