When Makiko Akiyama first developed her quirk, she was scared.
Her parents had expected her to inherit a single quirk from them, as even that would have been overpowering for a meer four year old.
But alas, their daughter developed a large quirk, linked to the elements. She could control the four elements, along with the storms linked to them. Thunder storms, sand storms, tsunamis.
She knew it was too much, her mother knew it was enough. But her father wanted more.

Which is exactly what he got. At the age of nine, the girl discovered that she had a new quirk, closely associated with one of the elements she could already control. Makiko had the added quirk of the blue flame, a quirk that would make for a perfect hero, or a perfect villain.
When the youngest Akiyama got into UA for heros, on the recommendation of three heroes, her father was beyond impressed.

But nothing could compare to hoe she felt when she met the boy who had the same eyes as her.
