"The Stone of Evermore" is Book One in the Majestic Merilyn series, a seven part middle grade fantasy collection. 

Merilyn's world is turned upside down when her family dies in a car crash and she is forced to live with her abusive Aunt Griselda. Merilyn's new life looks grim, until she runs across a pegasus on her family's farm. The pegasus whisks her away to another realm, one full of magic and mystical creatures. 

Here Merilyn learns that she is the heir of Merlin, the greatest sorcerer who ever lived, and that she has inherited his magical abilities. Now it's up to her to find a stolen stone that keeps this new world thriving. The people of The Runic Realm need Merilyn's help in order to destroy their enemy, or else their world may fall apart.
