Sixteen-year-old Cassie Stockard is a country girl who loves nothing more than whiling away the long, hot summer days hiding in her favourite tree with a good book. Nothing, that is, with the exception of Austin Mitchell, the cute guy from school who all of the prettiest girls seem to swoon over. He also happens to be the son of her fathers boss. Sure that he would never even look her way due to her plain Jane Demeanour, Cassie settles for the fact that she will have to confine her love for him to her fantasies and day dreams. That is until her father wins the employee of the month award and a chance to go on a six week, all expenses paid road trip with the boss's family in their new, luxurious Winnebago.
