The Choosing

Madi and her twin sister Charolette are the daughters of the leaders of their clan, Trikru. Until the day before their 5th birthday, they had believed that nothing bad would ever happen to them. They were wrong. They had been chosen to go to Polis and train to become protectors. At first, they had no idea why they were picked, but as things seem to become less like they seem, they start investigating and find out that there's more to the program than they were told.
