Every since the explosion of the Space Colony ARK and the death of his friends, Sonic hasn't been the same. He sometimes wished Shadow had never saved him. Sonic wasn't his usual, cocky, optimistic, energetic and hyper self. He was now quiet, sad and remorseful, usually never leaving his house.

He had an endless hatred for Eggman now, the culprit for it all. He meets Shadow again after some years, and they both become friends, something unexpected for the two of them. The get closer until they find out the obvious...

The Chapters take place in Sonic Boom. The Characters of Sonic the Hedgehog do not belong to me, they belong to Sega.All Rights Reserved

On Senior Prom Sonic was going to have a great time with his 'boyfriend' Knuckles. But turns out it was a set up that he framed Sonic for selling Cocaine and it worked. Once Sonic was thrown in jail, everyone who knew him abandoned him (even his own family). He turned to a life of crime (for a short while) after getting out of prison. He was broken as he felt nothing. But when he got to the hospital from attempted suicide and then to the asylum, a spark of light came when a kind hearted psychiatrist Offered him a job and a place to stay at his Orphanage (which is also a school for wayward youth) with his therapy. With the help of one girl and her best friend. A little bright blue hedgehog girl named Janice and a bright red echidna named Cassie. Things were plain but Sonic was still broken but he was hateful towards those who hurt him in the past. He changed his appearance and moved far away to a little bit old London (a little modern) style town selling good medicine for the people and working for the psychiatrist. When people (Knuckles, his family, and friends) from his past 'somehow found him' come to make things right, Sonic turns them away. Will Sonic give them a chance? Or will he just hate them for everything they did in the past?

It's not just about dying 'cause of love. It's a brutal torture day by day. It intervenes into the patient's life, messing up their routines and themselves both physically and mentally, which is why it will deal with the topic depression. I hope my book will give this bad feeling through and making it able to understand the topic's darkside and how brutal hanahaki can really be.
