Kara is one of the dragon riders and Hiccups twin sister. While the riders and the hunters are enemys, Kara has a deep regard for Viggo, deeper then her brother does. When Viggo is about to die sacraficing himself so Kara and Hiccup can escape, she saves his life.
While Viggo is qiute impressed by Hiccup, he is equally or even more so impressed by his twin Kara. When Kara saves his live thet regard grows deeper.
