Life can get pretty cruel. But they say in life its the people that make it worth living. As Jack lives through his teen years, he makes friends and family. If life is worth living then maybe he can stop bending the rules so much. He is pretty much an outcast, not talking to anyone. Well almost anyone. His bestfriend Josh is probably the one he talks to the most. For a while now Jack and Josh have been graffiti artists. They struggle to be known for their work. But they don't exactly want to be known either. The more attention they get the more attention they get from the cops. And the last thing they need right now is to go to jail, let alone have a criminal record. Through out the book Jack learns a lot about who he is. What his character is. His whole life he has felt like he is reaching, just reaching for something that isn't there. Lying to himself that everything will be ok. And so that is why he does these things. To feel alive. To let go of the world that he has grown up in. To Feel Free, just one last time.

It's like breathing in as much air as you possibly can, and not wanting to exhale it all. Holding it in, how can a heavy soul be in that much control over itself? Tyler Joseph thought about that a lot, especially in his writing. How can he be in control of a soul so dirty? So broken. So heartless. All he wanted was to be known but by who? Joshua Dun thought the same in a sense. He found safety in something he didn't have in his loving household: his drums. He'd go to the local record store, check out the music, and play their drums until he was kicked out. Only to be left alone with no outlet for the rest of his day. He wanted to be known too, but by who? *Possible heavy stuff: Read with care* Stay Alive |-/ (Cover is done by the wonderful @domismymuse! ^-^)
