Abandoned at a dock, the workers had thrown her in among the women and children of the slave trade. She grew up in the belly of different boats, only seeing the sun when they were forced to switch ships at port. Her nights were filled with screams of women and children being raped and beaten, sounds that would haunt her dreams forever, attempting to bring up her own suppressed memories. Eventually she fought her way off the boat, saving others as she went. For many years she stayed with them, protecting them, before she decided to leave and find something more.
