The following are excerpts taken from the diary Miss. Annabelle Heaney. Annabelle was 14 the first time she tried cocaine. By 15, she was addicted. Her family, even her sister, Elaine, who had also been an addict but had gone through rehab, attempted at helping her, but to no avail. On October 31st, 2008, Miss. Heaney died of an overdose, at a Halloween party being hosted at a friend’s house. She was 16.
