Jak lived with her father and her mother from a young age, but when she finds a object on her tenth birthday and it disappears into her, her life changes forever. She becomes a Finder for the next seven years, but right after she becomes an Exorcist, she begins to find a secret to her Innocence. It's different and rare, but she doesn't know why. She starts to have dreams of a misted field, of green and pink, and her Innocence starts react within her. Along with her friend Elf, a Finder, and a white golem named Hiroto, she tries to find the secret to her Innocence and tries to figure out the whispers of a Heart. Someone or something is after her and her power, her key, and Jak has to figure out why before it succeeds.
The fortunate stay away from all who reside through the veil, though no one can remember why.

Accompanied by Ink and Cassandra - an imp and a witch - the trio set off to find her.
With a little help from the faeries and stars, the group contend with tricksters, beasts and rabid people to navigate a land filled with death, despair and little magick. It doesn't help that they don't quite know who they're chasing and why the darkness doesn't want her found.
What ensues is the unravelling of a forgotten past; a past they are all directly linked to. They just need to remember who they are and in what way they are connected to the 'three sisters'.
