Thinking that he would be better able to parent a growing Snufkin, Mymble brings the boy to his father, the Joxter. Things don't start off great, the Joxter doesn't know the first thing about being a parent, nor does he have an inclination to learn. Likewise, Snufkin hasn't a clue how to navigate his way around his father. Nearly everything about him and everything he does seems to take him further and further away from his father's good graces. Still, he has no choice but to learn to walk that fine line, and maybe along the way the Joxter takes in a few things about his son.
