Phabion, a Spectral Familiar who gained her freedom and the ability to choose her path by her old masters dying breath and wish. Having been given the ultimate gift she chose to open the way to ISTHMUS, a bridging realm and pillar that connected two Planets Terrene and Firma, her home from before her summoning. Instead of ISTHMUS she lands in Firma's Desert of Exile answering the pleas of someone able to contact through the Void without knowing they were.
Lakota, who fell victim to the loss of his family ended up living off the barren landscape of Firma's Desert of Exile alone for years. Fending off small groups of raiders by day and the murderous wildlife at night. Having prayed and prayed his plea for someone to help was finally answered. By a menacing woman covered in black dust who claims there's more too himself he even knew of.
What will be sacrificed to be gained in this story of ancient gods and science. Betrayal, love, bonds and lies will intertwine deep in Phabion and Lakota's new life.
