A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm. She never was a people person and never got along too well with others, but she couldn't just abandon the girl. Would she find a home in this group? Would they become family? Or was she doomed to wander alone? Would she ever reunite with Glenn? Her family? And would she and a certain redneck ever get along? UPDATES: DAILY. This is a fem!reader fic, but you can ignore gender if you like<3 Hopefully, you'll enjoy the story! If there's any mistakes let me know. When the world went to hell it didn't make much difference to y/n's life. She was alone before everything and she was alone now. When everything started she avoided people. It was easier on her own, or so she thought. In her eyes, people were no different than animals now and she wasn't going to risk getting killed just to have people by her side. That is, until she finds a small girl lost in the woods... Learning the girl had lost her group, Y/n, for the first time in a long time, was willing to find people. To reunite the small girl with her family. But when she does finally stumble across the group, which was slowly falling apart at the seams, she can't seem to leave them. Something in her decided to stay and help. That and a brunette woman... NOTE: I LOVE Maggie and saw no x reader fics, so I decided, hey I'll write one. I will do a male reader one if requested!
