Dr. Callie Douglas, Staff Psychiatrist to the Rockville Police Department, is counselling an officer with a gambling addiction, a man who spends whatever free time he has at the casino spending money he doesn't have. The problem is that his wife doesn't believe he is a gambler. She instead believes that he is having an affair, the debts aren't from gambling but instead are from money he has spent on the other woman - and she believes that the other woman is Callie.

Meanwhile, Callie's very ex-boyfriend, Michael, comes to town. While he knows that he's an ex, he bristles at the description. With nowhere else to go, he moves in with Callie and tries to force his way back into a relationship. As the tension heats up, Callie wonders - will she ever be free from the house guest from hell?
