You may have seen Walt Disney's The Little Mermaid or heard of the older turn of events from the desk Hans Christian Andersen. However, both of these fairy tales represent extremes. On one hand, Disney's version of the story portrays a fairy-tale type of love at first sight that can rarely, if ever, be seen in the modern-day world.
