Lost in a world of Ice & Fire

Skyrim; a government-funded organization that studies Major Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms and Mutations. They study abnormal growth in animals. Earthworms that grow 3 times their size, fish that grow twice as large, etc. etc. Ford and Maryhaddaliddlelamb Brody both are major scientists that work at Skyrim; and are tracking down the mystery of dragons.
The discovery of the Sapphire Egg was marvelous, or so it seems. Ford and Mary Brody kept arguing back and forth about what to do with the egg; to the point of divorce. After the egg went missing, they split and Ford Brody went to live in the mountains; obsessed with studying dragons.
Their daughter, Maddison Brody, had actually stolen the egg and kept it hidden, hoping it would stop the fighting. As a 12-year-old, her mother won custody. Her mother has been doing her best to live a normal life.
When Maddison Brody goes to see her father for the first time in 2 years, she finds him at the airport. They are flown on a private jet and taken deep into a recently discovered mountains; melted under the ice.
Her life is turned upside down as her father takes her into his observatory, and deep underground. She finds herself lost in her father's deep study, but with cameras that observe a large dragon with scales as dark as midnight; a tail swinging back and forth.
When her father asks Maddison about the egg, she stands nervous. This reaffirms his suspicion; she has the egg. She is unable to refuse her father now; he has true proof. A dragon with a beating heart; its own den with a civilization worshipping it.
Dragons are of two types; ice and fire. This is the story of Maddison Ruby Brody and her story, caught between two parents. Caught between two entities. Caught between two worlds. Caught in a world; of ice and fire.
