Ivy is moving. He hopes he will move to a better school, and he hopes his Ma will stop hurting him. After the move, he finds himself in a gay predicament with a boy named Jake Jake is on the football team. He hopes he can finally come out of the closet, and get away from his abusive girlfriend. When he was asked to show the new kid around the school, he felt himself fall hard for this boy. Ivy doesn't want to tell Jake he loves him, in fear of rejection or an angry girlfriend. Jake doesn't want to ruin his reputation with the school, so he doesn't tell about his love for Ivy or his abusive girlfriend.
