[Completed] [Editing/Re-Writing] [10/9/19]

Loren Lancaster has always been a pro at running from her problems, and this summer is no exception. After trading in a summer in the Hampton's for a season on the coast of small-town Georgia, Loren is determined to spend the summer after her freshman year of college as far away from her problems as possible. From an estranged father, a scorned mother, and an accusatory class of New York's elite, physical distance can't separate her from everything, though, especially with her overbearing older sister scrutinizing every decision she makes, acting more like her mother than the sister Loren desperately needs her to be. And when Rayston Point's golden boy Isaac Verano insists on befriending her, and tries desperately to charm his way to more, Loren can't help but shake the feeling that her summer's going to end with more trouble and heartbreak than she asked for.

What I got was something different. The beautiful descriptions of the beach town made me feel warm and cozy and kept me reading until these two characters were introduced. I thought their meeting was innocent and sweet, not what I was expecting. It was really good." - CourtneyPeterman0

NOTE: I REVISED BEFORE YOU GO, SO THERE WILL BE SOME MISINFORMATION IN THIS ONE REGARDING LEON & ELIZA'S RELATIONSHIP. I WILL FIX IT SOON, THOUGH! * I would HIGHLY recommend reading BEFORE YOU GO and THE ONE YOU FIGHT FOR before you read this novel. This novel is a criss-cross between them and will include some major spoilers!* Leo Sangster has a bucket list tucked away safely, folded between the pages of his favourite book. And it's been there for nearly fifteen years. He hasn't tried to read it. He can't. He won't. Because that one piece of paper is a large piece of his father -- someone he's never met and never will be able to meet. But as Leo finds himself heading to Whistler, BC to explore where his father was born and who he was before he died in a car accident, he begins to wonder if that bucket list could give him any clues. Aria Madden is the daughter of the now-retired, famous NHL player, Luke Madden. Anyone would consider that a lot to live up to, but Aria is content with her current position. In January, she'll be competing in the Winter Olympics for Canada's women's hockey team. Over the summer, she's going to be training in Whistler, BC with the rest of the team, all while staying at her aunt's house. But even though it seems like she has everything under control, Aria is stuck in a whirlwind of anxiety. While she's happy and excited that her hard work has paid off, she's worried she won't live up to her father's legacy. When Leo and Aria cross paths on a fateful summer day, they're thrown into the chaos of an unforgettable summer adventure -- filled with charming and mysterious people, astounding views, and alpine air. But as the summer continues on and the heat is amped up, undeniable chemistry begins to brew between the two of them. But what happens when summer ends and they have to go their separate ways? Will they give up on the chemistry or will they find a way to make it work?

After embracing the rush of life beyond college graduation, gently avoiding the summers that whispered of what could've been. Iris Madden returns to Oak Island, where the salt air still carries echoes of warmth, belonging, and the boy who once unraveled her heart-Ethan Cohen. She tells herself it's just one last summer before she leaves for Spain, a brief pause to pack up the past by healing and prepare for what's next. But Oak Island has a way of pulling you under. It always has for Iris. When Iris runs into Paxton Cohen-her best friend's little brother, now grown and impossibly familiar-she's caught off guard by the quiet confidence in his smile and the way he's changed into a young man and not the same 13 year old kid she left behind 6 years ago. As old haunts stir up buried grief and long-lost memories, Iris finds herself tangled in the bittersweet tension of what was and what could be. With the tide rising and time slipping, Iris must decide: is this summer just a farewell to the Cohens and Oak Island, or the beginning of something she never saw coming? [[WORK IN PROGRESS...NEW PARTS UPLOADED REGULARLY]] "That house, those boys, the rhythm of our shared seasons... they were the one constant I could count on. The one place where life felt simple, safe, and real. Oak Island wasn't just a destination. It was tradition. It was ours."
