August Emberly doesn't remember much of her childhood past including any memories she once shared with her mother. The mystery behind Augusts mother's death and the eeriness that spreads throughout her fathers face when any mention of her childhood home in Havenhills only sparks curiosity in her mind. There's less than a month before August graduates high school when she secretly wanders off behind her father's back to enroll in a private university located deep inside Havenhills.
