Purple Beans

This story is about a girl, Kyla, who goes through many things that she doesn't understand after being jumped and kidnapped. She finds out about secrets of her past, which should stay secret. She also meets many beings along the way that either help or harm her on this intense journey to the throne.

My heart beats quickly with anxiety, expecting a gunshot to ring out. A mask of silence falls over everyone, a result of the sight of the gun.
After about a minute, the gun's bullet peirces through the air with a loud crack. I take off sprinting away from the loud screams telling me to run.
My breath is heavy as my feet pound the ground in attempt to escape. I hear my heart beating loudly in my ears, threatening to burst. My lungs burning, gasping for more air. I glance behind me only to see my pursuers gaining on me, inching closer every second.
Run faster, I think, as I urge my legs to push forward. Screams echo deep in my head, my vision blurring.
