His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place.
