Once upon a time, hybrid/animal shape shifters lived among the people of EOS. Gloriosa is unable to control her abilities and causes major damage because of it, which earns her Somnus' disapproval. Because of this, she is sent far from Lucis, where she grows up in what is now Cartanica.
Meanwhile, Somnus and the Niflheimers betray the hybrids, wanting to use their rare body parts as trophies. A war arises from the resistance of the hybrids. Who will win the war?
