Aspen McGuire has always been an outcast. It might be because of her love for Tumblr, Netflix, and cats.  Maybe it's even because she prefers to have her nose in a book, over getting drunk at parties, unlike the other freshmen at her old high school, Cornier Secondary School did. But when disaster strikes at CSS, and she's forced to go to Mount Bridges Private School, everything in her life changes.

Carina Shelbys is everything that Aspen is not. On her victory lap of high school, she is student body president has loads of money, and is the trophy girlfriend of the school's quarterback, Ryan Stevens.

Aspen and Carina couldn't be any more different. The only similarity the two have is 'The Sister Project' that just started at Mount Bridges. The Sister Project is where a senior girl gets "matched up" with a freshman girl, and has to teach the freshman the strings of high school. What happens when the pairing begins not only effecting them in school, but also out?

17 year olds are typically focused on college. And their SAT scores that they've been waiting for since forever ago. So are Jessica and Cora. More than everyone else and only in each other, though. Seeing who gets the higher score, higher grades, whoever gets accepted into the lowest acceptance rate college, it determines their moods for the rest of the day. Rivals, but when Cora finds out a secret about Jessica's family life, she realizes the way she's handling it isn't just because she wants her in the best shape for the next test they have to take. It's because she loves her. And she has. For years. And when Jessica's faced with a life changing altercation with Cora, she realizes she loves her just as much. But will the two ever get over their rivalry and admit it?
