Levina Limere is supposed to be dead...except, for an inexplicable reason, she's not.
The only two things that prove Levi's not mental and that her seven-year-old self didn't imagine the whole supernatural meeting with Death are: 1. her only friend, Never, a.k.a. Death's daughter, and 2. she literally doesn't have any feelings (well, besides the most basic: fear).
Flash forward to her junior year in high school, and so far, she's been able to keep the normal facade. Yeah, she's sort of infamous at her uptight private school for being a cold-hearted bitch, and her parents are workaholics so she pretty much lives alone, but other than those tiny details, everything's fine...
Until she falls in love.
Meet Noah Livington, sweet, shy, and... completely head-over-heels in love with someone else.
To add to the whole crap-load of drama and feelings, hell just broke loose. Literally. When secrets and dark forces meant to stay buried forever burst forth into the human world wreaking havoc among the paranormal beings, Levi is ordered (by Death himself, no less) to help the angels reseal them back where they belong- which is a lot more easy than it sounds.
