A statement whose meaning undergoes a drastic change over the centuries Aziraphale and Crowley have known each other.
The Second World War was a rough time for people angels, not for demons, who rather danced on the pen of a hand grenade. Except for one. Crowley. Why? Because his fate was interwoven with the one of a special angel and it was precisely this angel who had to be saved.
The demon is forced to face to the ugliest side of mankind, which swallows him whole, like the purgatory once did.
Every higher power seems to have turned away from them. Captured in his own fight, he tries to save the most important treasure in his life.
However what will happen until the Ashes of Eden fall?

"It's ineffable, darling." "Ineffable?" "Ineffable." Crowley confirmed. Drunk and post the Armageddon-not, Aziraphale ponders if he and Crowley had never met in Eden. His darling demon, however, doesn't care much for hypotheticals.- This is little AU explores the idea of 'what if Aziraphale and Crowley hadn't met in Eden?' ... A very short (5 chapter) Aziraphale's x Crowley story. It doesn't really have an ending and it was originally in my oneshots book for these two. An Ineffable History
The Nice and Fairly Accurate History of the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale, on their relationship over 6,000 years. Aziraphale and Crowley have known each other since the beginning, quite literally. From the gate of Eden to the end of the world, they have been there for each other- tempting, thwarting, and even helping (not that their respective head offices need to know). As the millennia go on, the two grow closer and closer, and there are words that both off them need to say, but neither do. It only takes the end of the world for them to get their heads on straight. Crowley has a secret, something he can barely admit to himself: he is in love with Jenna Kingsley, an American woman who doesn't even know he exists. What happens when she befriends Aziraphale and he introduces her to his demonic best friend? Their kiss continued, brutal and hot. Aziraphale suddenly remembered how his arms worked circled them around the demon's waist pulling him closer. Crowley broke off the kiss with a sharp inhale and moved his head to rest against the angel's. "Tell me to leave, angel." Raw need vibrated through the demon's voice. He pressed his forehead against Aziraphale's. His hands trembled as they cradled the angel's face. He took another ragged breath. "You don't want to do this! You don't want this from me!" Now it was Aziraphale's turn to take a inhale deeply. Their mouths were so close that their breath mingled. He could feel heat from the demon, from their pressed foreheads, down his chest, to his groin. He drained away the minor alcohol in his system and let cold, hard clarity wash over him. Vague update schedule, unrelated stories. I usually update every few months but sometimes I get busy. If you see that this hasn't been updated in 3 months dont worry! That's just how I work. 1) I'm Set Free: Aziraphale finds himself distracted by a certain demon, and Crowley finds out that he likes having his hair touched 2) This Thing Called Love: Love is in the air and so is frustration. Crowley gets upset and takes a five-day nap, waking only to hang out with Aziraphale and visit The Them [I have never seen titanic it has nothing to do with it] 3) Champagne?: Crowley is dining alone tonight when he gets some company from a stranger he wishes would leave him be 4) Aziraphale Loves: Aziraphale is a lover many things in life, books, good wine, Crowley, wearing sensible shoes, people, but Aziraphale also loves food, and he just happens to have a poorly timed craving for crepes. 5) Crowley Shrugged: The pair had been talking and sipping expensive wine, during their conversation they had started talking about wings and flying, then Aziraphale had stated that he hadn't used his wings in a few hundred years, which had bewildered Crowley 6) Tight Pants: Aziraphale and Crowley go out to dinner and Aziraphale gets jealous when someone invites Crowley back to their flat. Snake!Crowley and wings 7) just an announcement 8) dancing in the rain: Dancing in the rain isn't always ideal, even though it's always quite romantic.
