Heart of the Mountains

A fan-writted novella inspired by the Warriors series taking place in the fan-created clans of the valley.

GentianClan- The spiritual and brave, reside high in the vast mountains where they live as free and proudly as the eagles that nest among the sheer slate cliffs.
RoseClan- The fierce and proud, live beneath the guarding canopy of the maple forests, entwined with thorn bushes tipped with alluring, sweet-smelling roses. They live their lives with fierce loyalty and cunning skill.
JuniperClan- The tactical and opprotunistic, thrive on the open moor where they can run freely and chase their ambitions to their hearts' desire.
ReedClan- The diligent and wise, live among the lush marsh grasses and winding streams. These warriors trust that wisdom is far more powerful than violence.
WitchweedClan- The secretive and cunning survive deep within the pine forest where they thrive off of their independence and intuition.

This story takes place in GentianClan where three new apprentices find that life as a clan cat in one of the most hostile environments on earth is not all what the nursery tales are made up to be. Smokepaw finds himself feeling more alone than ever in his home after disaster after disaster claims the lives of so many in the valley. The choices Smokepaw makes may lead his life and his clan to success, or down a dangerously dark path.
