When tensions flare into an-all out rebellion, Sapphira's hometown is turned into a city-wide warzone. The Magistrate are ruthless in restoring order within the blood-soaked walls, catching civilians in the crossfire. Hope is scarce. What more is there to do but flee with what survivors remain?

This is a spinoff backstory for a D&D campaign based in the world from "Paladins: Champions of the Realm." Plenty of intellectual rights shenanigans here that I'm not smart enough to address, but it's all in fun. When writing I kept the theme from D&D world of "letting the characters choose wrong/useless paths to explore" as an unnecessary rule imposed on myself, which took more effort than I expected due to sidetracks, but I still enjoy the story that resulted. I wrote this rough draft with the *intention* to go back and polish it someday... Buuuut eh, I probably never will. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Originally a backstory for a D&D Character that got just a little bit out of hand with length and detail, its now morphed itself into a full blown Novella. Its the most effort I have ever put into any creative project in my life. I hope you enjoy it! This is the story of a twenty year old human man, Mardston, as he takes his first steps along the path to becoming a true warrior. Trained as a blacksmith as a child by his adopted dwarven family, and then as a Mercenary Soldier as a young man. Happy where he was in life as a traveling sellsword, he had it all torn away when his first experience with a deadly battle, was a massacre that saw all 500 of his companions cut down in a manner of minutes. Walking away from the engagement by being judged by his enemies as the most mentally weak, and therefore chosen as the designated survivor to go tell the tale of what happens to those who intrude in their woods. Completely alone, with no purpose, no living friends, and no desire to work as the one thing he was trained to do. Mardston starts his journey to becoming a warrior at the bottom of a bottle. Where he is singled out for the most mundane of reasons by a strange young elven woman with unnatural abilities, who chooses him to accompany her on her journey. A journey where she begins the path to learning what it means to be a Hero to those who need saving, and where he stands fast and fights to protect her and keep her safe from all who wish her harm. While the two of them together venture forth to find their new places in a world that has no need of them as they were. - While editing, I noticed that I didn't describe Mardstons physical description well. Jamming it in now, results in awkward and clunky exposition. So I will just write it here even more awkwardly. Mardston stands at 6'2" tall, weighing in at 350 lbs. Built like a bodybuilder from a childhood of keeping up with dwarves, he stands with more than twice the mass and strength of your average human warrior.

*Note: This book is currently discontinued. At this time, I am re-writing it. When I have enough chapters edited and to my liking, I will start posting them on a schedule starting at the end of the discontinued chapters or I'll make a separate book for the new version. If you have questions about, don't hesitate to ask. The roof crashed down at the speed of lightning, crushing me under the table as I gasped for air. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)

16-year-old Ryan is probably the only orphan in all of England whose parents are still alive. At least, that's what his visions are telling him. When Ryan finds out about a school that no one's ever heard of, he knows that school is somehow the key to finding his parents. But when he finally makes it through the wolf forest to get there, nothing goes as planned. Because there is a reason Ryan grew up separated from his family and the life he should've known. And a reason why it might've been for the best if he'd never found his way back home again. There is already someone expecting his arrival, someones who's ready to risk it all for revenge, and when Ryan wakes up ater being attacked, he's not entirely himself anymore. And whatever has become of him, it's clear that he's now a threat to everyone around him. Turns out Ryans parents are the leaders of a pack of werewolves, deadset on keeping the school and their whole society hidden from humans, and protected from vampires. In this new world, where everyone has a different motive to want him gone, Ryan has to fight for his right to stay with the werewolves and stay in control of his own self, otherwise he'll never see his parents again, and he might just be what causes the destruction of the whole werewolf pack for good. ***** I would say this story is fine for ages 14 and up. This story is finished, but in Swedish ;) It's around 110k words and I have now finished translating it into English! I have currently uploaded more than half of the book (I'd say the midpoint is around chapter 44), and the whole thing will be uploaded probably before August. This story takes place in northern England, and I am obviously not English! So if you are from England, and have some feedback for me regarding use of words and such, please let me know, I greatly appreciate it.

The Paladins of Voltron have their work cut out for them when it comes to liberating the universe from beneath the Zarkon's thumb. They've grown into their newfound positions, bonded with one another as a team, and they've become a force to be reckoned with. But many trials await the group, their path to each victory will be hard fought, and sometimes at great cost, but despite it all the question remains the same: what will the Paladins sacrifice to protect the known world? --- **This is a continuation of the first book in the Lion's Roar series: "The White Paladin". If you haven't read that first, then I would seriously suggest doing so otherwise the events and references that occur in this book will make absolutely no fucking sense and that's a promise. This is incredibly self indulgent for me, a continuous project that's solely for my enjoyment but considering the amount of effort I'm putting into this I might as well share it with the world. I hope you like it, I pour my heart and soul into this shit.** --- I update consistently on my AO3 account found here: https://archiveofourown.org/users/Otheliame/works Art blog link for those who want it (chapter updates are also posted there) : https://thewhitepaladin.tumblr.com/
