Edith Ryan has always dreamed of walking among her distant cousins of Earth. After years of hard work, her dreams become a reality as she is admitted to help planet Earth in their transition into a galactic society. However, non of her training could begin to prepare her for the wonderful and terrifying experience of becoming human.
Based in a future alternate of Earth, humans are just beginning to make progress as a galactic force under the one world nation. A hundred years after The Great Reboot, humans are now able to enjoy cleaner energies and more stable economic states. With the United Provinces in place, world travel has become an accessible option through bullet train technologies. The planet has overall become more self sufficient.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. After being convicted of a murder she didnt commit alita is left stranded on the hostile world filled with carnivorous plants, ruthless criminals, hostile natives, and bloodthirsty monsters. She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? They have tried making underwater pockets so people can live under the sea, but the underwater pockets are too fragile to maintain and easily every citizen can drown. Hope was almost given up. Until scientists found a planet only couple light years away that is a sister planet to Earth. No one has ever been on this planet before and is unsure what will people find there. So on the year B18, all children born within that year were taken from their families and sent into a spaceship to be trained and prepared for the landing of this new planet. Samantha and her squad are flying through space and preparing themselves both mentally and physically for the adventures of this new planet.
