Mists on the Mountains
Hammel Greymist has returned home after several years of fighting. Yet Skyrim isn't the as he remembers. There's the civil war brewing, not to mention the dragons returning... Part original content, part novelization of Bethesda's epic 2011 Skyrim expect action, drama, romance and a few twists and turns that you may not see coming. Male Nord Dragonborn POV alongside other POVs including OCs, Lydia and Aela the Huntress. Contains main, civil war and Companion questlines and various side quests. The Song of Deirdre Part I
Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've only posted Part I here, but will soon post the rest (four parts total, 62 chapters). I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand. Unluckily for them, an elven-supremacist group known as the Aldmeri Dominion, is stirring up for another great war. Rated PG-16 for violence, foul language, and some explicit innuendos.
