The feeling of wanting to die is just a feeling because when you truly die that's when you know the true meaning of dying and death.
Anastacia "Sarah" Red, knew what death felt like. She also knew the feeling of dying but she's still alive in a vampire kind-of way. Being cheated by her mate, she suffered through the pain alone. For hours, pain was the only feeling she could feel until she was finally relieved through death and rebirth.

A/N: I'm rewriting this book cuz this was shitty af before but the general plot remains unchanged. The only major difference would be how the story is presented.

I had enough strength left in my body to turn my head. And that's when all sense of pain left my body. I saw Devin with a blade to her neck next to the queen. She was crying out to me, "Please Tara just surrender! You'll die if you keep going! PLEASE!!!" She cried and begged me to stop but the queen silenced her. I tried to get to her but I couldn't get up. I sat there thinking to myself frantically "What do I do?! What do I do?!" She sounded so terrified. The Season Winter troll I was battling went to pick me up before its hand and head were sliced off in a split second. The audience went silent as I stood and glared at the Queen pointing my sword at her, its blade dripping the blood of my defeated opponent. The Guardian gave me the power surge I needed to force my way through the Queen's defenses, who she demanded subdue me. They were innocent, but stood in my way. So I had to cut them down.
