River Gray has always fit in. She used to be the constant talk of the school. She was a star Basketball player for Valley Falls High and an outstanding Volleyball player. But all of the fantasy life she was living? Gone. Senior year she just shut off. She stopped sports, she stopped everything. But that's the thing, nobody knows why.
Ace Adler showed up out of the blue one day after being home schooled for three years. Another outcast. But after one simple class period, he finds a new fascination in a simple outcast girl. River Gray. The mystery girl, or as he likes to call her, Ghost girl. What he doesn't realize, is he's the key to finding River after she lost herself months before.

In a sick sort of way, she loved it-reminiscing about Leo, literally drowning in the memories of him. And it isn't long till Riley does drown herself among those gray memories, shutting and shunning the world forever, in a place too far to reach. She is already so gone, that every one of her friends and family are very close to giving up, and on each tick of the clock Riley is close to letting go. Will a curious stranger's words save her, or will Riley try to save herself? *If you read the summary, and decided that it is some sort of typical clichè , I'd like to tell you that this is NOT a cliche 'damsel-in-distress-saved-by-a-knight-in-shining-armour' story at all. You won't find anything such as that, as the tags suggests too. She begins writing him letters, not the stupid anonymous notes her friends put in his locker to taunt him, but real letters. Gavin has lost his mom to cancer and his father has gone missing. He now lives with his grandfather who is in a deteriorating state of Alzheimer's disease. It's a secret that Gavin must keep. Nobody can know or they will separate Gavin from his grandfather and put them both in state run homes. Gavin's plan is to stay invisible. Once he turns 18, he'll be a legal adult and nobody will be able to separate him from his grandfather. He just has to hold out one more year. But it isn't easy. Everyone needs friends, and now this Anne girl has singled him out. Part of him aches for human contact, and he's not immune to her quirky sense of humor, but she might be totally insane. She's practically stalking him, and if he befriends her, she might find out about his grandfather and ruin his plan. But what if he just wrote her back?

Before I knew it my shirt was torn away from my torso and tossed on the floor, Charlie's doing the same. Our kiss intensified and I felt him groan against my lips. I swear to god, this boy is making out with me like his life depends on it! Sometime later the school moved onto other drama and gossip, things started to die down and people finally left Ace alone. He moved on with his life, convincing himself he was over Eleanor's death and as quick as the whole thing started, he returned to being lonely, weird, quiet nobody Ace. Just how he liked it. That is until 4 years later when he found himself sprawled out on a bed. With Charlie Simmons hovering over him. Charlie Simmons who was kissing Ace like he would die if he ever dared to stop. He can easily count all his friend and dear ones with no hands at all. His life reeks of loneliness. This sounds like some kind of curse to us but this is a blessing to Leo as Leo say's "Every waking moment is a struggle if I cared what anyone wants".He learned to live life in a completely different way, which consist of only and only him and no one else. From this loner life, Leo learned to say, "I don't hate myself but I love my self-hate." "Never Give Up" These are the words our other protagonist Chelsea live by. Chelsea is tried of her life, which is filled with loneliness. She wants to get out of it. She wants to fill her life with new and exciting moments. She wants to meet people, talk with them, become friends with them but she can't. Something is holding her back, it's something she wants to cure but she can't, it's something that has happened in the past, which haunts her till this day. Now, what will happen with both of these seemingly opposite personas when they meet each other? Leo being an introvert and with his unique mindset, has the ability to judge people on their behavior and tell how human relations work at an instinctual level. Whereas Chelsea with a mindset completely opposite of Leo and with ability even she has yet to discover but is pulled back by her shortcomings which can only be cured by Leo. Find out what is the thing that haunts Chelsea? Can it be cured? Can Leo help her? or will he reject her? Can Chelsea change Leo's mind and free him from himself? Will both of them come in terms with each other and help each other out? Or will both of them continue on their path of self-destruction?Complete
