By now, I can feel his breath fanning my face despite his towering figure and I almost shrink back in defeat until I see the smirk growing on his lips as if he knows he's got me right where he wants me.

Narrowing my eyes, I place my finger between the exposed space of his unbuttoned satin shirt, tracing the cool metal hanging against his chest. I can feel his breath slowing and if I weren't so determined to have my way, I might've given myself a minute to revel in the fact that he's longer in control.
