Dancing in the Rain
When Stacey's father crosses the line after he came home drunk one night, she decided she couldn't take it anymore and moved in with her mother and her stepfather in the small town of Whitwick, fully aware of the fact that her life would change. And what a change it would be. Because when she first comes face to face for the first time with that unusually quiet boy that comes by her mother's café occasionally... God, that was one hell of a change. "Have you ever danced in the rain?" "No... Never really thought about it before." WARNING: There will be a mention of drug and alcohol abuse. He asked, his piercing gaze meeting hers through the mirror. His one hand was resting on her stomach, keeping her close to him while the other one touched her head. "This-" He moved the finger from her head to her heart. "-this-" He pulled her closer from his other hand. "-your whole fūcking being, belongs with me, get that?" He asked, raising her chin to make her look in the mirror. She should push him away, she should be telling him how much she hates him but she found herself nodding. "Words." He pressed. "Yes," She mumbled. "What's your name?" "Roop." "What's your name?" He asked again, pronouncing each word clearly this time. "Roop Mehrotra." "Roop. Amrit. Mehrotra." His jaw tightened, "Say it." "Roop Amrit Mehrotra." She breathed out, trying to get away from him but his grip was firm. "Right, and it's going to stay just like that." ••• Two people, one unwanted marriage. A Lasting Curse
This is my first story to be posted on Wattpad. This is the story of a curse, and those bearing it learning to make it their own. It is a story of love, and hope. A story of conflict and despair.
