Alexandra "Alex" Lidel has never really been normal especially for a sixteen year old girl. She lives in a small apartment with her "uncle" Dick whom her parents left her in the custody of as a baby and the only friend she has is the awkward, antisocial Tyson Jacobs. But she wouldn't have it any other way.
But everything changes when Alex finds out how different she really is and what really happened to her parents all those yeas ago. When the truth is reveled Alex doesn't know who she can trust. She even begins to question the loyalty of the boy she considered a brother. So why is it then, that the one person she seems to be able to talk to is the mysterious, dangerous Damien?
Not only does Alex have to learn how to get a grasp on this new world and sort through her messed up feelings she must also make a choice. One that could decide the fate of mankind.
