Percy, after his second year at camp, kept having dreams were he communicated with someone. Percy soon learns to trust them, and he starts to realize he has feelings for them. After Luke left Percy is having a hard time with his memories of Gabe, and this mysterious person is incredibly helpful. 

Luke is struggling, he is having second thoughts, but he knows he can not get out of Kronos Amy easily, especially with his rank. All the sudden he is visited by the three fates telling him he will be able to meet his soulmate, from the Greek stories, before he dies. Luke agrees and he finds a love that stops him from going insane.

In the end one last breath reveals what their dreams hid from them.
