The drug would take at least half an hour to break down in my bloodstream. I was growing impatient. The rarity of LSD these days meant I could only get my hands on it a handful of times.
Relax. Be patient.
It was an incredibly simple mantra but it helped. I was waiting for the destruction of my mind in every way. A 'reset button' if you will.

It truly is amazing how quickly your life can get flipped upside down. Actually, I take that back.
