Donovan 'Nova' Fey Peters is an Althean, the supposed phenomenon of the New World's Creation. Aware of the wrong means of her existence, her inner faith proclaims her identity as a savage on the red earth, mutated beyond repair, meant to be the last remainder of the human kind, a fraction of it that is. But somehow, a troubled man who was once hidden in the shadows, a fully human one brings out the broken soldier's veiled humanity. Together, they must fight the volatile world before them and all they once stood for. The pain stops like a dying sun. We broke through for oxygen, claiming it in our lungs with the vermilion skies looming above our heads and all I can think of is how unexpected our encounter has been. He might've almost drowned but he recovers quickly, sputtering water as we sat on the rocky shore. His bright cobalt blue eyes roam over me, staring. Yet I don't see terror. I see wonder and intrigue. That's thoughtful of him. Personally, I think I look like a creature from hell, a beast. He has other opinions though. "How is this possible?" He asked, stammering, bubbling with excitement. I refrain myself from becoming angry. Control, I reminded myself. "Unstable biofield," I answered his question reluctantly, muttering the truth under my breath. His mouth explodes into a wide grin as he reached behind me, his hand touching the scales across my back, in a manner that suggests he's petting the surface of something soft, fur perhaps instead of reptilian skin. "Amazing," he remarked breathlessly. I've lost count of how many times I've heard that, or something similar along those lines, but that's the first time I believed it. I believe him.

Cyberpunk Fantasy Ancient Hope // Tribulation : Singularity Cover art by: https://www.patrickennisart.com/ A story of 3 "sisters", from 3 different walks of life, growing together, with technology and compassion; through a shared crisis created by the worlds combined patriarchal religions, who's new leader is out for full spectrum domination. This near future unlocks the potentials of genetics and artificial intelligence in this science fantasy of a young girl and her father who discover how to create legendary creatures; which could cripple the automotive industry if they become the new standard of personal and public transportation. Meanwhile, her affluent mother continues an affair with a bishop who aspires to be pope. Ancient Hope // Tribulation : Singularity is meant to be a story that follows a pattern of exponential growth, much like the real technological singularity itself. You should also know that exponential curves begin so slowly, it almost looks like a straight line. So, please don't be surprised when the 2nd and 3rd parts, tribulation & singularity, are both, years later, and filled with many more characters. Special thanks to Ken Poirier, who has been encouraging me to be on this site for over a year now, or just finish my book in general for years longer. Upon seeing how Ken uses this site, and how he serialized Love and Hamburgers, I too intend to release my story in a serialized version of my completed story, here on Wattpad. This seems like a fun place to work on the last of my finishing touches. Further, the story needed to be altered slightly as well, as it's a story of the near future, where when it was written, had no thoughts of Covid-19. I'm not looking to alter the fundamental nature of the reality I created for this story, but the only thing worse than writing about it, is to ignore it's existence and the ripples this stone has cast.
