Rise of the Champions

During the Great Calamity, the land of Hyrule fell to the control of the Demon King Ganondorf. Queen Zelda and her Champions, loyal to her until the very end, were executed. With all threats to his reign diminished, Ganondorf ascended to the throne of Hyrule, and the story of the fallen Queen Zelda and her Champions came to an end.

Or so it was thought.

The six souls that Ganondorf had ripped from the mortal plane of existence were taken by the Goddesses, who sheltered those souls until the time was right for the Champions and their Queen to rise once more, in new bodies, and with new lives. Then, Ganondorf and his evil regime could finally be felled for good.

One hundred years later, it was finally time for the Queen of Light and her Champions to return to Hyrule.
